About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled Journeyperson Carpenter to join the Rockport Commercial team! As a Journeyman Carpenter you will take responsibility in bringing strong craftsmanship, reliability, and a strong eye for detail, working on various residential and commercial projects. Key Responsibilities
- Execute framing layouts independently for multi-family residential structures.
- Construct fire-rated assemblies in strict compliance with safety regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints to accurately plan and complete projects.
- Supervise and mentor carpenter apprentices, helping them build their skills while maintaining productivity and quality on site.
- Enforce rigorous safety compliance across all assigned work areas.
- Maintain high-quality workmanship standards across all phases of construction.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with building codes, site plans, and safety requirements.
- Report daily site progress accurately to project management teams.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, and properly care for tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with other trades to keep projects moving efficiently and on schedule.
What You’ll Need
- Journeyperson Certificate is mandatory and proof of certification will be required if selected.
- Experience reading blueprints, layouts, and construction drawings, with a strong understanding of building codes and site safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
- A valid class 5 license and vehicle.
